Physiotherapy

The aim of this page is to try and give you all the information you need about physiotherapy. However, if your question hasn't been answered please don't hesitate to contact the clinic and I would be happy to discuss any individual's query.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a health care profession that focuses on restoring normal movement and function. Importantly it is science based with a constant focus of improving an individual's quality of life, helping them to achieve their personal health and activity goals

Why choose Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is always tailored to each individual's needs. No two assessments or treatment programs are the same ensuring the client is the central focus at all times.

Through the utilisation of drug free treatment physiotherapy can have many benefits including:

Reducing or relieving pain

Normalising movement and

Restoring function.

In addition to the above Physiotherapists are able to assess for possible causes to certain injuries or conditions and therefore help to reduce the risk of further problems.

In summation Physiotherapy focuses on restoring a pain free and fully functioning body, which lets be honest is what we all need!

Who can it help?

There are a vast number of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries that physiotherapy can help with, including;

  • low back pain

  • neck pain

  • sciatica/leg pain

What to expect at cPhysio

All Physiotherapy assessments start with a thorough hisotry of your problem being taken. This is then followed by an extensive examination to assess how you move, possible areas of weakness/tightness/stiffness, sources of pain and movement inefficiencies.

Once the examination is complete a diagnosis can be made and clearly explained to ensure you fully understand the condition or injury. Together we can then discuss an appropriate treatment plan to help alleviate your symptoms and prevent future problems,
